I am currently a college student who is from the Long Island / NYC area and I plan on taking every test I could take in the near future. I still have 3 more years until I graduate college, which is time away, but I am aware about the fact that getting called by Suffolk, Nassau, MTA, or PAPD can take years after taking the test and isn’t guaranteed. I’m just slightly nervous that there’s a possibility that I might not have any opportunities to start a career when I graduate, especially since I’ll have to start paying off my student loans around that time. Part of me thinks that I am overthinking, but part of me is still a little worried about it. Did anyone here have similar concerns before getting hired?
