Sonos Arc Ultra + Sub 4 VS. Bose Lifestyle Ultra + Sub

Need help/opinions on these two as an upgrade pick. I've had a Vizio SB3621 since 2020 and have always loved it. Zero mechanical issues (apart from the remote showing its age), but feel like it's time to upgrade our living room audio and move this to our bedroom or other TV in the house.

I know the Bose Lifestyle line is fairly new and people may not have had a chance to experience it in person, but from online reviews it looks solid.

Both the Sonos and the new Bose lines are 'modular' in the sense I can start with the bar and sub, and then add on smaller speakers down the line for surround or whole-house audio purposes which is a plus. But I also have a JBL Boombox 3 I use for any non-living room audio and it is perfectly fine so not a necessity.

Just seeing if anyone has experience with either or both of these and could help sway my decision. I'm also not tied to these two specifically, really any premium or higher-end set up I will consider. For research purposes money is no object, but looking at the total prices on these two lines (even with the extra speakers), I realistically want to keep it under ~$3k USD.

My number one need is the best audio quality and bass that can handle all my usual audio needs (music, TV, gaming, occasionally movies). I can deal with annoying UI or setups (as I have heard is common with Sonos and the Bose apps). Looks matter slightly but not hugely important. Appreciate any input!
