CSK's is virtually eliminated
realistically think about it csk is in a massive mess right now and their fans are basically sweating bullets. they’re sitting at sixth place after getting absolutely hammered by lucknow, so to even smell the playoffs, they have to win their last two games against hyderabad and gujarat just to reach 16 points. but honestly, even if they do that, they still have to pray like crazy that teams like rajasthan and punjab totally choke their remaining matches because csk's net run rate is absolute garbage. the real tragedy is how they’re playing; their batting in the powerplay is slower than a snail, they have zero big-hitters at the end to finish games, and their bowling department is literally a hospital zone with all the injuries to guys like overton and ellis. plus, with thala dhoni benched all season because of his bad calf, ruturaj looks completely stressed out trying to captain a bunch of old, slow fielders who are leaking runs everywhere. this is just straight dream come true situation. but it can happen that they qualify because its not untill it is like in rcb 2024 playoffs clutch.
