Saint Anthony of Pauda. Saint of the lost?
Everytime I look up this Saint Anthony, all that ever comes up is he can help find you lost items. I find it quite annoying and frankly a little undermining that this is the only thing he’s commonly known for, and it’s hard to find much else on him.
I’ve also heard about him guiding “the lost”.
Is there any sources or evidence I can look into?
Because im thinking he might be my Patron Saint???
Found a medallion necklace of him after my grandma passed.
My dad’s father’s name was Anthony so I suppose it was his.
Didn’t know which saint it was until a stranger told me.
People usually come to me for guidance in many ways, and there are times where I can figure out solutions in people’s family lives and why certain traumas might have them unknowingly become mean, hateful or toxic. Very quickly.
And I know it might be looked down upon, but I am a tarot reader as well. Only do so to help others, so God forgive me. My family is Italian folk Catholic so they’ve always encouraged it as long as it was always within the light.
Other times, I’ll watch someone laughing, and I feel like I can see what they look like as a child
(I know his symbol has him holding baby Jesus, does it have anything to do with the inner child, or childlike innocence?)
TLDR: what are some sources, evidence, or stories you know of Saint Anthony of Pauda being a saint of anything else besides “Lost items”? And what else does the Baby Jesus he’s holding symbolize?
