Which seasons do y'all consider "Old School" and "New School" TC?

To me, Season 15 onwards feels more "New School". I feel like there is a sudden shift in talent and modernity but I can't explain it.

What do y'all think?

Convince Me to Rewatch S19.

I recently rewatched S20, and it's one of the best seasons to ever come out of TC.

I don't think I can say the same about S19. I haven't rewatched it since it first came out. To me, it just lacks that wow factor. It's probably one of my least favorite seasons of all time. Besides Buddha and maybe Jackson, nothing about that season was very interesting or memorable.

Does anyone else agree with me? If not, are there any good reasons you think I should rewatch it? And what makes you like it?

Seasons 19 & 20.

Season 19 was a mediocre, boring season at best with forgettable cast. Season 20 is one of the best seasons to ever come out of Top Chef in terms of challenges, location, and cast. Anyone else feel the same way?

What scenes made you cry?

For me I cried when Eric got eliminated on S17. He was one of my favorites to win and to watch him go out was so sad.

Rookies vs Veterans

How did HELL’S KITCHEN (of all shows) manage to have a better Rookies vs Veterans season than Top Chef?

Honestly, the whole season just feels like it was set up for Brooke to win, especially after that horrible S10 finale. Just to clarify, this is nothing against her, as she is truly a great chef, but it was so clear from the beginning she was going to win that it didn’t matter how everyone else cooked.

Met Gregory at Kann!

Bro said me and my mom look like sisters 😭 that aside, the food was AWESOME. If you go there, definitely order the Baked Haiti. It’s truly of the best desserts I’ve ever had. (not gonna post the pics of us bc i don’t feel comfortable posting myself on this subreddit)
