My girlfriend is flying from Canada to US to do a cross country trip with me. I plan on taking her to the Ferry in Seattle to return back to Canada.
Will she have an issue in the airport due to the one way ticket? Is proof of employment/school as well as the ferry ticket enough to ward off any issues?

Hi everyone! My girlfriend (23f Canadian) and I (24f American) are looking towards the next few years of our life together. The goal would be for me to eventually move to Canada and be able to live and work there with her as a married couple.
When doing casual research, things seem a bit convoluted… when it comes to spousal sponsorship, it seems you need to “prove” your marriage is genuine by providing documentation of cohabitation, joint bank accounts, etc. How have y’all gone about doing this while not being allowed to legally live in Canada?
Is there a step I am missing? How would I be able to live and have a bank account in Canada if I am not permitted to be there more than 6 months and cannot work there?
At this point, I’m just looking for stories of people who have gone through this process to see what options are available to us.
