I think people can sometimes be too quick to choose a side when they hear an accusation. In the Wilbur Soot situation, I saw a lot of people immediately taking one side, and I think it’s fair to ask whether people should have waited for more information before deciding what happened.
I don’t think someone should automatically be believed or dismissed just because they’re a man or a woman. If someone told me they had superpowers, I wouldn’t automatically believe them just because they said it—I would want some kind of evidence before deciding whether the claim was true.
At the same time, I don’t think a lack of publicly available evidence automatically means someone is lying. Some things happen privately, and people outside the situation may not know everything.
So what do you think? Were people too quick to take a side in the Wilbur Soot situation, or was it reasonable to believe the allegations based on what was publicly discussed?
see people online saying Jeffrey Dahmer might have killed Adam Walsh, but I completely disagree. When you actually break down the timeline and how the crime happened, it proves Dahmer couldn't have done it. Here are my four main reasons why:
1. The 10-Minute Window vs. Drive Time Revé Walsh was only away from Adam for less than 10 minutes while shopping nearby. Even if Dahmer was driving from his hotel or workplace (which was 18 to 25 miles away), that drive takes over 30 minutes. There is no way he could have made it there in time to snatch Adam in a 10-minute window.
2. Walking vs. Forced Abduction Some theories claim Adam was forced into a blue truck, but witness reports showed he was actually seen walking near the exit. A stranger driving from miles away wouldn't have the exact timing to pull off a snatch on foot without a vehicle parked right at that entrance.
3. Disposal and Transport Logistics How would Dahmer have pulled off the murder and dumped the body without anyone noticing? He was staying at a hotel where people were watching the news and paying attention. He would have had to decapitate Adam, carry the body out, and drive miles away to dump the remains without being seen—all without a reliable personal vehicle.
4. Different Target Profile & M.O. Dahmer's entire pattern was luring older teenagers and young men to a private room and keeping their remains in his own apartment. Adam was a 6-year-old child dumped in a distant canal. The target and behavior just don't match Dahmer at all.
Plus, Ottis Toole actually knew non-public facts—like the decapitation—that Dahmer didn't know and explicitly denied.
Do you agree that the logistics completely rule Dahmer out?
