"Stayed at a tech-forward hotel? I'd love to chat for my university research (30 min online, camera off)"

>Hey everyone! My name is Sean, a Japanese hospitality student at a university in Switzerland, currently writing my bachelor's dissertation on how AI and technology are changing the hotel guest experience. My research focuses on what guests actually want from human staff in hotels where technology does a lot of the work — told from the guest's perspective, not the industry's.

I'm looking for people who have experienced at least 3 of the following at a hotel:

  • 🤖 Unmanned / self-service front desk (check-in kiosks, etc.)
  • 🔑 Mobile check-in and smartphone room key
  • 🛎️ Robot room service delivery
  • 💬 Conversational chatbot (in-room or via app)
  • 🙋 AI concierge or virtual assistant (via app or in-room screen)
  • 📺 In-room AI assistant (e.g. Amazon Alexa, Google Nest)
  • 🧹 Automated housekeeping robot
  • 🏨 Fully unmanned hotel (e.g. Henna Hotel, Alibaba FlyZoo, etc.) If that sounds like a hotel you've stayed at, I'd really love to hear about your experience! What's involved:
  • A casual online chat via Zoom or Google Meet
  • Around 30–40 minutes
  • Camera completely optional
  • Everything is confidential and used only for academic research
  • No names will appear in the final dissertation

Feel free to comment below or send me a DM — happy to answer any questions before you commit to anything!

Thanks so much in advance 🙏
