Put my 2 weeks in!

I just put my two weeks in on Tuesday and I’m so excited to start my new journey. I got a job at a hospital in the career I am in college for!

If I’m being honest, I was going to stay and go to school and work my new job. I feel like a liar for telling them that I was going to do that but honestly, after thinking about it when I got the job offer, I realized that I can’t work around my Kroger schedule and my new schedule also being a full-time nursing student.

I’ve had issues with scheduling around classes, getting bumped and just issues with management listening when I explain I can’t close every night. I was basically told that if I got bumped and I didn’t work the other persons shift even though it’s out of my availability, I would have to get points for not working. And while that makes sense somewhat, I realize that I can’t work like that and go to school.

If anyone’s thinking about quitting Kroger and bettering yourself, this is your sign to do it!
