college help!!! (gpa)

ok i’m taking a risk here because last time i posted on reddit people were mean and im very very VERY sensitive. so if you have advice pls tell, but but if its anything negative id rather not hear it 😓

in june of 2024 ( end of freshmen college year) i was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and it had been affecting me years prior without my knowledge. i’d always been a straight A 4.0 student until my sophomore year of high school. this is when covid hit but also when my doctors believe my tumor really started to grow. it was especially at its worse though my college freshmen year as i had constant headaches, always out of energy, and had several near faint experiences.

i took a semester off, and have been back and forth with my local community college (where i am at now) and sfsu. i calculated it, and even with getting a 4.0 for my summer + fall + spring semester, ill barely reach a 3.0.

it’s my dream to be in film so i really want to go somewhere good, but i’m worried that this “ inconvenience” has stopped me from going to a good film school or that admissions will only look at my grades and deem me unworthy? any advice pls 🥹
