Incoming first-year trying to understand financial aid
Hello! As the title says, I am an incoming first-year and received my aid package in March. My aid letter is split into 5 sections
Tuition and Fees $59,906
Housing and Food $15,300
Books and Supplies $1,520
Transportation $900
Other Educational Costs $3,072
With my grants and scholarships combined, I have received a total of $76,366 in aid (with $2,500 more in the fall semester). Of the sections listed, how much of it will UVA actually bill me for? Will I receive a refund since my aid goes over my cost of tuition, fees, housing, and food?
