I am currently working as an independent contractor (project is only for 2 months) for a company, my work is relevant to my major. I am getting paid through wire transfers with no taxes ( I must file taxes myself, 1099 will be provided). Is it safe to assume, this will not cause any problem during STEM Extension processing? I will maintain all the documentation for the work I will perform here.

So, I'm trying to figure out which career path to go down and was hoping you guys could give me some advice. I'm interested in both, but leaning towards the one with more demand in the future: building apps with agentic AI (using what's already out there) or working on LLMs and building them from scratch (the core stuff).
I would appreciate if you guys could provide a honest opinion of my resume. I only applying to entry-level/new grad positions. What changes do I need to make to stand out? Please help me out.
