As the deadline of 2026 approaches, the conflict between populism-based representation and state performance threatens the stability of the federal setup that we have. My model suggests a unique decoupling mechanism where a proportionate Lok Sabha coexists with the transformation of the Rajya Sabha to become a "House of Merit". In this scenario, 85% of the allocations of seats in the Upper House are done based on a Merit Index (EC, HDI, Population Stabilization, Good Governance, Stability), administered by an autonomous body called the Federal Representation Commission (FRC). It also incorporates a state referral mechanism for settling legislative impasses through the empowerment of state legislatures. I am a 16 year old and I have come up with a model which, in my opinion, would come really close to solving the problem at hand in the best possible way. So I just now understood that my interests and the ideas of systems engineering is very aligned. I thought Material Science R&D was a perfect job for me...but then I realised that I love planning and strategizing but Material Science doesn't give me that....I love how transport systems work and I also like being a planner...do you think Systems Engineering is a good choice for me....Almost all the career quizzes I took told me that I would make a good Systems Engineer....I love chemistry so I have a plan of doing my Bachelor's in chemical engineering and then my master's in systems.....do you think that this field would have scope in the future with the AI boom and things like that...I am so confused to be honest...It would be of great help if someone can help me decide whether this is the right path for me...I want to make sure that I can contribute to the development and welfare of humanity
