My experience getting caught using a VPN
Recieved a call from XYZ station/ camp. Was told to report at the said place on the same day with my phone , went there , they took my phone with sim and made me write pin /password on a sheet of paper. Said it'll take 4-5 days to process the information on the phone as the number of phones they've seized is already taking a toll on them
Asked me about the reason of using VPN. Dumb fuckers said that they'll call me when the phone is ready to be handed out. I asked them how will they call me if my phone and sim is with them, then the guy replied "3 din baad ajana"
Went on the third day. Arrived at 10am. Was told my phone is being checked for 4-5 hrs. . Finally recieved the phone at 4pm.
They plug the phone to a pc . And a print out is generated. Listing apps used , vpn installed. Had deleted apps like 1-2 months ago but they were also visible on that sheet of paper.
They mainly look for PAK links and anti india activities as far I could grasp.
Phone wasn't opened for 3 days when it was with them as I continously kept calling the phone for those 3 days.They had the pin too, which they forced me to provide.
Overall, terrible experience. Down with oppressors
And yes the list of vpn users was provided by the internet service provider. Was a huge list , close to 20-30 pages.
