I came on reddit to tell this story
Lately, I've been exploring religion. Recent research and former experiences have led me to possibly believe in the concepts of Gnosticism.
Here is the mile-long rant I sent to my friend while figuring this all out:
Basically, I'm very curious. I like to learn about religions and things like that to see if any of my experiences line up with them, because it would be interesting if they did. During one of my episodes of questioning, I looked up which religions see God/a higher power as being made of stars, because I have always envisioned it that way. When I searched, Gnosticism came up. I dug a little deeper and realized that most of what I believe aligns with this way of thinking. So, being naturally curious, I started looking back at all the spiritual and unexplainable things that have happened to me.
Dream #1
I started looking back at a dream I had that left me feeling really, really odd. Here goes:
Basically, there was a house that I can remember so distinctly I could probably draw a picture of it if I had the skills. In this house, there were rooms where everything was beige, including the carpet. Right as you walk in, you can see the entryway of the first room, and on the right side, there is a TV. Directly on the opposite wall (which is where the doorway is), there is a round thermostat-looking thing to the right of the door. As one does in a dream, I messed with this thermostat. I moved it a little and realized the TV switched eras. I went outside, did some things I kind of forgot about, and then came back. This process repeated over and over until suddenly there was no TV anymore because I had gone too far back into the past. I went outside and went to a grocery store to find a way out of this place, but the grocery store lowkey looked like the Backrooms, so I headed back.
When I got back, the TV was there again... but it wasn't normal. The TV was flashing and blaring loud, inexplicable noises. Then, out of the flashing, these waves of what I now think were seraphim (after learning the term) went across the screen. A voice said that I wasn't supposed to be there, and now that I knew, I would be punished. It also said some things in Latin that I didn't understand, but I knew it was Latin because of Latin roots and having a pretty good understanding of what different languages sound like. I also want to note that the colors flashing on the screen don't exist in real life. The closest I can come to describing them is that they looked like pastel colors.
In Gnosticism, things that resemble Christianity's seraphim are Archons, which are like demons. Wikipedia said that, "The archons are rulers, each related to one of seven planets; they prevent souls from leaving the material." THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED WITH THAT LITTLE THING I THOUGHT WAS A SERAPHIM. I knew it felt like I broke something and wasn't supposed to mess with the time travel, and that thing on the TV was the one who put that thought into my mind. After the dream, I felt guilty and truly believed I was going to be punished. I was scared to sleep because I was afraid I might go back.
Dream #2
I had a dream once where I walked into my bedroom and there was nothing in the room. The only noticeable thing was a bluish-white light (definitely more white than blue) coming from my window, as well as from a little open area above my desk where I sometimes lounge. I climbed up to get to that area, and while I was inside, I saw a door. Inside the door was the white light, and then I woke up.
As soon as I woke up, I drew connections to something I always thought was real when I was little. I don't know if anyone else experiences this, but my dreams and memories from childhood all get smushed into one little thing. Anyway, one of those dream/imagination memories was seeing a fairy world inside a cabinet door. I opened it and was in a different place. I connected this dream to that childhood memory because it gave me the exact same feeling. I woke up from this dream feeling really odd, similar to how I felt after the previous dream I discussed. Upon doing some digging into Gnosticism, I realized that this second dream might be a representation of Kenoma and Pleroma.
Anyway, I may be crazy for thinking this has anything to do with Gnosticism, hence why I am putting this on Reddit. I want to know if this is an actual spiritual experience or just my brain forming conclusions from random connections. Thank you for reading this post and yeah!
P.S. Sorry if this isn't structured properly! I am new to Reddit and just seeking some answers.
