Hiking prtners

Hi everyone!
I’m currently living in Dijon and looking for hiking partners to explore the mountains on Sundays (my only day off).
I’m not from around here, so I don't know the local trails yet, but I truly love the mountains, I'm very easygoing, and always up for an adventure. My highest peak so far is 1,983 meters, so I'm looking for solid day hikes to build on that experience.
Happy to split fuel/travel costs if carpooling into the Jura, Vosges, or Alps. Feel free to shoot me a DM if you'd like to team up for a hike!

Armani „I Will” – anyone else tried it yet? What are your thoughts?

Hey everyone,
I recently got my nose on the new Armani "I Will" and wanted to check in and see what the general consensus is here.
Overall, it’s a solid + in my book. I personally really enjoyed it, but I definitely think it's worth sampling before buying a full bottle. It leans heavily into fall/winter territory for me. There’s a certain gravity and depth to it that makes it feel far from an everyday/dumb-reach daily driver. Definitely more suited for specific, formal, or evening occasions.
Has anyone else here had a chance to test it out yet? How do you feel about the performance and where do you see it fitting into your rotation?

Running in 35°C (95°F) heat changed my mindset — leave your ego and pace at the door, just focus on heart rate.

Unpopular opinion maybe, but I’ve actually started to love running in extreme heat (around 35°C / 95°F).
The secret that made it click for me? Dropping all pace expectations.
I completely stopped caring about min/km and shifted 100% of my focus to heart rate zones. If that means slowing down to an absurdly slow jog or taking walk breaks to keep my HR where it needs to be, so be it. It’s an incredible workout for both aerobic capacity and mental resilience, as long as you respect the conditions (and drink plenty of electrolytes).

I’m currently prepping for an October 25 marathon, and this heat adaptation feels like a cheat code. Once autumn rolls around and the temperatures drop, that expanded blood plasma volume and aerobic base will make race pace feel effortless.
Anyone else using the summer heat as their secret weapon for fall races?
