My wife enjoys painting so I want to build an easel for her for our anniversary in a few weeks.

I’ve found many different plans and I like a lot of them.
My issue is space.

I’m trying to figure out a way I can mount one to the ceiling in our garage and have it fold down when she wants to use it & then easily fold back up & out of the way when she’s not using it.

Our garage is unfinished so rafters are exposed and easy enough to mount to.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
