Information overload I need to the point advice
Hope all is well. I’m a 32yo male that’s starting a fitness journey. I’m a complete beginner.
My plan is to do a 3 day a week push pull split Monday, Wednesday & Friday. 1 week has push, pull & push. Next week has pull, push & pull. Repeat.
Push day is Incline smith bench press, DB Shoulder press, tricep push downs, deficit pushups & lateral raises. 3 sets per exercise.
Pull day is Bench assisted rows, bicep curls, face pulls & lat pull downs. 3 sets per exercise.
Do I need to take every single set to failure?
For example: today I did 3 sets of bicep curls with 15 pounds, 1st set was 10 reps, 2nd set was 10 reps & the 3rd set was 9 reps. My first set I could’ve definitely done maybe another 4-5 reps, my 2nd set I could’ve done 1 more rep and my 3rd set I could NOT do 1 more rep.
I just want to get in shape, look more attractive and be happy with myself, but theres so much contradicting advice I don’t know wtf to do anymore 😭😂
Please someone with actual experience give it to me straight and make it easy for me to understand cause my brain is mush right now between stress, job & life in general. Thank you so much
