Greeted with SDDM login with no DE after reinstalling Artix using the KDE Plasma + OpenRC + calamares installer.

Did something get missed after that? The reason I asked is because it didn't do this before.

So to backtrack the steps I performed, here's what I did first. I downloaded the official ISO image artix-plasma-openrc-20260420-x86_64. Next, I copied the ISO into a USB storage with ventoy, and rebooted my PC. Then I used ventoy to boot into the live environment and reinstall the distro into an empty drive. Then I followed the calamares installation and manually partitioned everything and setting the mountpoints. Perfect. I let the installer do its thing and the installation seemed like it went well. Awesome. I reboot out of live environment and boot it the first time. I wasn't sure what happened or what changed. When I got into the login, I noticed that the selection of DE was left blank... like there was none...? After I tried entered my login and hit Enter does nothing. I don't know what caused kde plasma to just not be installed even though that was the DE that I chose for the live installation. I installed the DE that I wanted atleast and all the essentials through the TTY. So I got it to work. What caused the DE to not be preinstalled?

I want to be able to run CachyOS kernel and its apps. I think they are great. But at the same time, what I'm afraid of happening, after going full Artix with my gaming desktop, is running into that trap where most of Cachy's apps eventually requires systemd and then things just stop working. What are your all's opinion? I currently have linux-zen + linux-zen-headers installed.
