After everything is finally resolved and they actually manage to escape Fromville, I think Victor will be the one who doesn’t want to leave. While everyone else sees it as freedom, for him it won’t feel like home anymore outside. Fromville is all he’s ever really known, and despite everything that happened there, it might still feel more like home to him than the outside world.

I can imagine a really quiet, emotional scene where he just stands there while the others are leaving, realizing he actually wants to stay.

(assuming he doesn’t die before that, which is also a real possibility)
