puppy board and train??
hello all, this is my girl lucy she’s 4.5 month old full blooded GSD. i’ve had her since she was 10 weeks old. this past week i woke up and she started acting INSANE. went from my calm sweet puppy to an insane psycho lol. safe to say her personality is forming. she started having really bad dog reactivity during her second grooming appointment and they said she can’t come back until she’s more well trained. her walks now are also hard since i have a block full of dogs and she just straight up tries attacking them. any dog stares at her and shes barking like crazy and not having it. we have been using a personal trainer that comes to our home (around 3-4 sessions now) to help teach good behavior and she doesn’t really care about anything he teaches her. we reinforce what he teaches us to teach her. and every correction tool he uses (loud noises, air, water) nothing works.. i watched youtube videos and did some of my own training and i feel like shes worse :/ i did some research on a two week puppy board and train program for her and they can take her at 6 months but i was wondering if this would be good for her/ teach her better or make it worse. i never used a board and train so i’m a little nervous because i hear horror stories but i want to correct her behaviors before she makes them habits. i’ve also never owned a GSD before but she fell into my lap as a stray so i’m learning as well. i know she’s still a baby but she’s getting big so fast and i don’t wanna do the wrong thing so any info is greatly appreciated :)
