Really confused between MS at IITM and PSU exam.
Hello everyone.
29M. I am from Mechanical Engineering background. Recently got selected for MS admission in Engineering Design dept. at IIT MADRAS through GATE 2026. However, as we all know CIL MT vacancy has come, and I am also preparing for that.
Currently, I am in dire need for a job in engineering domain. Guys, Can you please guide me, wheather I should join MS at IITM or prepare for CIL exam.
Note- After completing B.tech in 2019, I joined central armed forces. Then, in 2025, I resigned from the service. Hence, due to age factor, very less PSUs are allowing me to appear for exam. Hence, should I choose private jobs after 3 years of MS ( because, No company will hire me for technical role with such non-technical experience. Also, after 3 years I will be of 33 years of age) or, should I prepare for CIL/ others PSUs( which allows age bracket within 30 yrs).
Again, I am in dire need for a job in engineering domain.
