Hi, I wanted to come out and share this if this is interesting to anyone.

I’m from Illinois and we were supposed to return to O’Hare International Airport today. Originally our flight time was at 7 PM however we were delayed at several times until eventually they canceled the flight. And one girl started crying, which I can’t blame her because I was internally pissed because I had plans. I wanted to go home.
And this is the last flight of the night.

And the advisors they had to call several hotels and motels across San Antonio and we managed to get one, but it’s really sketchy and it smells like weed and I’m currently typing this while I’m in a room by myself because my roommates were scared and went somewhere else.

And then tomorrow we return out the airport really early and we’re at the airport the whole day. Apparently it’s also supposed to be stormy I just hope the flight does not get canceled or I will be really mad.

And we had to take taxis to this motel, and it was several cars as well because we needed to fit all of us and there was a girl in my chapter that wanted to go back so badly. I don’t know her reason so I won’t judge her, but she was really opinionated about this and since she’s 18, we apparently are able to go back in an earlier flight if we schedule it by ourselves.

Update: We are currently waiting to board our flight, let’s hope we actually can get on the plane. Been in the airport for hours (10)

Hello FBLA! Since NLC in San Antonio has concluded, I wanted to hear your guys opinion the conference and planning?

What went well and what didnt? Do you believe that you were graded fairly on your tests/event? Also, what is the craziest story you have to share about nationals? Anything.

Personally, I think this conference was mediocre, compared to Anaheim. A lot of advisors need to do a better job at managing their students — The Marriott Riverwalk had extremely immature boys who did a horrible job at representing FBLA.

The rodeo was overhyped —- I was disappointed. They said there would be a chicken BBQ chicken dinner but we were only given a sandwich with chips.

Furthermore, I think FBLA should have organized the conference in the colder place since Texas was hot . I almost had a heat stroke and you might tell me “go drink water” I’m not paying $23 for a bottle.

Also, my roommates ruined my sleep and the experience. Not really an FBLA thing, but still thought I would share. They would obsessed with makeup and only yelled about some guys they met in the hotel and then complain that they can’t wear all their outfits they packed. Also, they were singing every day when there is no need.

But ending on a positive note, pin trading was fun and I had a great time networking and meeting people from my NLC Groupchat.

Playing elevator roulette? Are we serious? Yelling on the balcony? On come. Knocking on random doors? Grow up/

Didn’t place, not a big deal until I started to feel like I disappointed everyone and myself.

Then, I lost five of my pins and they were cool pins line the Dr. Pepper and conference pin. Sad about that.

FBLA said there would be BBQ dinner, but what we get instead — a sandwich with chips. Also, where was the mechanical bull? Don’t get me wrong. The performances were really good. But honestly, the whole environment felt more like a festival rather than an actual Texas rodeo.

Robert would be this old conservative guy with glasses who is obsessed with order and rules. He would be the type to call you out for saying can I use the bathroom rather than saying may I use the bathroom? He would also be the type to call out any rule violation.

If you don’t know, he was this user that was posting excessively on the sub Reddit claiming he was going to expose some big secret at opening ceremony and he was telling about conspiracy theories. Now that part might not be true but what is true is that he somehow got into my Instagram group chat for nationals and kicked everyone out and then people that were still in the group chat sent screenshot saying this is new alarm. I have photos of anyone wants them message me.

The thing is, we know who knew alarm is we know his name his school and his event but we’re not going to dox him

So the question is how much power does he truly hold?

There is the social event but I have zero idea what to wear and I’m nervous because I don’t people to side eye me if I wear my normal outfit—random t shirt and biker shorts
