AI and revision ?
Hi,
My sister had a Spanish test. She revised a lot before it (vocabulary and grammar from class) whith me. She also used ChatGPT to make example sentences from the vocabulary, and she memorized them.
In the test she wrote a very good text, much better than her usual level. The teacher said it looks suspicious and that some grammar (like subjunctive forms) is too advanced and not like her normal work. She gave her 10/20 (50%) and refuses to change the grade.
My mother already explained the revision process to the teacher, but she still thinks it’s not fair compared to other students
No help was used during the test, no phones no nothing.
Is it normal for a student to improve a lot by changing how he revise?, or is it reasonable for a teacher to think it’s cheating/unfair?
