pain during sex started out of nowhere

Hi all! So, about a month ago, when my bf (27m) and I (24f) were having sex, I started to notice a little bit of pain. It was just a small amount of pain and I figured it was just friction or something, so even though it was a little out of the ordinary, I didn’t think much of it.
However, ever since then, this pain has only gotten worse. A few days later, we had sex again and I noticed it again, it almost felt like a pinching pain, and even though it hurt, it was still bearable.
As a side note, I told my bf about this after the first time it happened, he has been extremely supportive, and we stop anytime time the pain is too much. He has been letting me set the pace for exploring this and has not pushed or pressured me at all. We have been making sure that I’m very warmed up before going further, but this hasn’t seemed to help at all.
After the 2nd time, I had some discomfort that lingered after sex, so I thought it might be a UTI. I went to the urgent care and got a UTI test and a swab for BV, Yeast, and other common infections but everything came back negative. I had my period and we waited about 2 weeks before trying again just in case it was some kind of micro tear or something. That time, it was slightly better, but only for the first few minutes, then the pain was back.
We waited about a week and tried again, but the pain was still there, it almost felt like I was being poked with a pin inside. But again, it was very lubricated and there was no obvious reason.
With it still lingering, I went to my gyno. She did an exam but found no obvious lesions or anything that stuck out to her. There was some minor discomfort during the exam with the speculum, but no overt pain like during sex. She also did another swab testing for infections, but everything came back negative. She recommended some pelvic floor exercises, but noted that she didn’t think that was the issue for me because the muscles seemed good when she did the exam.
The next day, we tried to have sex again, and again got very thoroughly warmed up. But this time it was so painful that we had to stop almost immediately after he went in. I was so frustrated that I started crying, and I’m just at a loss because I don’t know what else to do.
For some additional context, we have been together for almost 2 years and have been having sex for about 1.5 years without issue. Up until this point, I have never had any pain like this at all. I also don’t have any pain or discomfort throughout the day, it’s only when we have sex. I also have PCOS, but aside from the cysts, I’m fairly asymptomatic, and my gyno doesn’t think that the cysts would be causing this type of pain. The pain started as dull but has evolved to be sharp, it starts almost as soon as he’s inside me. The position we’re in does not seem to make a difference, we’ve tried a few and they all hurt. Aside from the pain, I have had no other symptoms to indicate what could be causing this.
Does anyone have any advice or thoughts as to what could be causing this pain? I’m just really frustrated because it came out of nowhere and there isn’t anything obviously wrong. I’m just not sure what else to do. Thanks in advance, everyone.
