10 years ago I bought a palm orbital sander from harbor freight and the switch broke after barely using it. It didn't help that there was some clear gummy plastic that was in the way of the switch and super annoying. For anyone who's had to deal with this super fragile stupidly designed switch breaking, just want to let you know you can fix it! I had a random switch laying around and my hoarding finally paid off. After replacing the switch and putting some electrical tape around it, it fit snugly in the plastic housing. And it turns on now.
