Colorado could have ended child marriage. Reproductive rights groups prevented it.
Colorado had a bill in the legislature this session that could have completely banned children under the age of 18 from getting married. The bill did not pass because reproductive rights groups such as COLOR and Cobalt opposed it. They claimed that the bill would infringe on bodily autonomy.
