Developer hasn't fixed desnagging issues after a month. Conveyancer wants to transfer funds. Help!
Hey everyone, looking for some urgent advice from those who have been through the Dubai property buying process.
I’m in the final stages of purchasing an apartment here, but I’ve hit a massive roadblock and I'm getting seriously stressed about it.
We did the desnagging inspection and sent the official report to the developer over a month ago, they haven't fixed it yet.
My conveyancer is pushing me to proceed with the final transfer and release the remaining payment to the developer and the seller.
I am incredibly uncomfortable with this. When the developer gets their 100% final payment, I lose all my leverage, and those snags will either be delayed indefinitely or completely ignored.
Has anyone faced this with Dubai developers?
Can I instruct my conveyancer I want to wait until a final successful re-snagging inspection is signed off?
Is it normal practice here for conveyancers to push for completion before snags are closed out?
