How long is the Twin Peaks hiring process?
So I applied online through Indeed and sent my resume to my local Twin Peaks on Sunday. The next day, Monday, the GM called me to set up an interview, but I missed the call, so I called back later that day and another manager scheduled me for Wednesday when the GM would be there.
He told me to come in with shorts ready and look “date ready.” When I got there, I interviewed with a manager from another location because the GM was in a phone meeting. She explained the job, asked about my serving experience, gave me a shirt to try on, and asked if I had shorts, which I did. I changed into the outfit, she took my pictures, and we talked a bit more about the uniform and if I was comfortable wearing it, which I was since I honestly dress like that anyway.
Afterward, I changed back into my clothes, and when I came out she was talking to the GM. She introduced me to him, I shook his hand, and reminded him he was the one who called me Monday. They told me they’d be in touch and someone would call me.
On Thursday, I got a little anxious and called to let them know that even after I go back to school, I’d still have open availability. They were busy because of a game night, but the manager wrote it down, said he’d pass it along to the manager I interviewed with, and took my number.
Now I’m just waiting to hear back and wondering how long the process usually takes. I’ve always heard that if you don’t get hired on the spot then you didn’t get the job, but I’m trying not to believe that. Since the GM personally called me to set up the interview and the process moved pretty fast, especially because I basically skipped straight to the audition part, I feel like I have a good shot. It’s currently 12:36 a.m. Friday, so should I expect a call today (about 48 hours later) or should I wait longer?
