Photons and wave propagation when blocksx by opaque objects…

when blocked*

Say i am standing so that there is a tree between me and the sun. The tree blocks out my view of the sun, blocking photons that are arriving dead on from the sun and preventing me from seeing the sun directly. The tree appears completely black against the otherwise blue sky and illuminated ground around me. However when we do a double slit experiment with even a single photon we see that the wavefront propagates through the hole and expands to be wider than the walls between the slits. It continues forward as a wave. How come the wavefront that propagates in front of the tree does not give our eyes information of what is on the other side of the tree? Why don’t we see the sun through the tree trunk?
