I recently won a $1 million Powerball prize. After taxes I took home about $560,000. I’ve never been a big spender and am working a job that pays around hundred thousand. I own a home that’s worth roughly $450,000 with 10 years $130,000 left on my mortgage. I don’t live in the home and have good tenants there.

Basically decided that I wasn’t going to change my lifestyle after winning and added all of the funds into my Betterment account.

All said and done I have $950,000 in a taxable account through Betterment. $50,000 emergency fund. $85,000 in a Roth IRA. $50,000 in my 401(k). And the house.

I was somewhat interested in fire already, but this has accelerated everything.

Wondering what you guys think.
