My berried mamma shrimpie took the ramshorn for a ride across the front of the tank.

T'was a very slow excursion across the front of the glass.

Excuse the ostracods and limpets. The tank is clean, and the shrimpies aren't overfed... the plants produce mulm.

Chungus is massive. About 3x the size of the other shrimpies. Chungus is Chungus.

Adam survived the dragonfly debacle. He's (mostly) bigger than his other tank mates. He's a smiley boy.

Władislav is the fastest ramshorn snail. They enjoy hanging out over the bubbler to get their shell massaged.

No point. Look at my shrimpies.

Hey,

So... I have a planted nanotank with shrimpies (neocaridina). Testing water for the tank and my nitrite levels have been high.

Long story short, the tap water is testing at 0.25 ppm for nitrites. BUT, leaving the water for 12 hours reduces the nitrites to 0.

Is this chlorine giving a false positive?

Or is the tap water... less than ideal?
