New Australian federal party based on the Magna Carta. Family lunch, and my uncle was in full support of this new party. Can anyone tell me what this is about?

Family lunch, and my right-leaning uncle was telling me how there is going to be a shake-up in Australian politics with a new, never been seen before, party based on the Magna Carta.

He has not read the Magna Carta. He doesn't know what it is, but he's in full support of it. His understanding is that laws will be wiped clean with every election. And police will make the laws stick.

From what I gathered, no immigration, no government handouts, no taxation, free health care (including dentistry), better quality doctors, better pensions, better buying power, no electronic payments (all cash), return to the gold standard.

He's 83, with cognitive dissonance.

So, what is he actually on about?

Also, can someone please let me know why a 13th century document limiting a kings power on taxation is the answer to modern politics?

TIA

I got a babeh schrimpie. Mother there for size comparison

Mum dropped her eggs on Wednesday. I haven't seen any babies. Figured they were hiding. Today, I fed them with some magic powder food, and one of the babies posed for a photo. And later, I saw one swimming between the plants. They are so tiny! I'm a schrimpie grandma!

Was gifted a cheapy art kit that had a white ink pen. The ink is raised. I don't know the brand, but would like a black pen to match. Help?

I'm hoping to get some help.

For Christmas Secret Santa, I was gifted an Amazon pencil drawing set that had a white pen. I hadn't used the pen before.

I drew a black ink crow, and thought the white ink pen would be good to make it pop. It is. But, the white ink is raised/textured, while the black isn't. It's made the drawing seem... weird.

I was thinking of going over the black with a similar raised ink pen, but my local art supply shop couldn't help.

The white pen is like a jelly pen. Nothing fancy, clear plastic, no brand name.

Could someone kindly suggest a pen?

My berried mamma shrimpie took the ramshorn for a ride across the front of the tank.

T'was a very slow excursion across the front of the glass.

Excuse the ostracods and limpets. The tank is clean, and the shrimpies aren't overfed... the plants produce mulm.

Chungus is massive. About 3x the size of the other shrimpies. Chungus is Chungus.

Adam survived the dragonfly debacle. He's (mostly) bigger than his other tank mates. He's a smiley boy.

Władislav is the fastest ramshorn snail. They enjoy hanging out over the bubbler to get their shell massaged.

No point. Look at my shrimpies.

Hey,

So... I have a planted nanotank with shrimpies (neocaridina). Testing water for the tank and my nitrite levels have been high.

Long story short, the tap water is testing at 0.25 ppm for nitrites. BUT, leaving the water for 12 hours reduces the nitrites to 0.

Is this chlorine giving a false positive?

Or is the tap water... less than ideal?
