AMA: What would make a marketing subreddit actually worth joining?

Trying to understand this from people who actually spend time on Reddit.

A lot of marketing communities become either too promotional or too basic.

So what would make a marketing subreddit genuinely useful?

Some possible ideas:

Real campaign breakdowns
Creative teardown threads
SEO and AI search discussions
Paid ads troubleshooting
Landing page reviews
Tool recommendations
Honest mistakes and learnings
Brand strategy debates
Weekly critique threads

What would you actually want to see in a marketing subreddit?

Also, what type of posts would instantly make you leave?

Imagine waking up tomorrow and losing access to every marketing tool you use.
No analytics platforms.
No automation software.
No design tools.
You are allowed to keep only three tools.
Which ones would you choose and why?
Would be interesting to see what people consider truly essential in their workflow.

A founder shared a post explaining the mistakes their company made while launching a product.
No marketing language. Just an honest story about what worked and what didn’t.
The post generated huge engagement. People were commenting, sharing their own experiences, and asking questions about the product.
Compared to the paid campaign running at the same time, the organic post drove more website visits and more qualified conversations.
The reason seemed simple.
People respond differently to stories and transparency compared with polished marketing messaging.
Has anyone else seen founder led content outperform brand campaigns?

Something interesting about current social media trends.
Content that looks less polished often performs better than highly produced campaigns.
When videos feel natural and conversational, people engage with them more easily.
Highly produced content sometimes feels like advertising and audiences scroll past quickly.
This doesn’t mean production quality doesn’t matter. It means authenticity may matter more.
Have you noticed similar patterns in social media performance?
