The first panel Gun stated that if you can’t overcome the first stage, you will fall back into an unconscious state. The second panel shows that, in order to overcome it, you have to hold onto your mind so you don’t get consumed by unconsciousness. In the third panel, during the fight with Vasco, Daniel stated in his mind that his body wouldn’t listen to him, which means he wasn’t fully in control of his body and was also fighting against his unconscious state. The last panel shows that Daniel successfully regained control of his body and bit his own tongue, and he did not fall back into unconsciousness. So in conclusion, wouldn’t that mean Daniel overcame the first stage of controlling Ultra Instinct?
