Filmography of various directors if they followed Tarantino’s 10 film rule
I think most people agree that Tarantino’s self imposed rule that he can only make 10 films is stupid, but I was curious what the filmography of various directors would look like if they followed this rule.
So here is what their final film would be, followed by some of the movies that no longer exist:
Peter Weir - Fearless (The Truman Show, Master and Commander)
Coen Brothers - Intolerable Cruelty (No Country for Old Men, True Grit, Serious Man, Inside Llewyn Davis)
Spielberg - Last Crusade (Schindlers List, Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan, Catch Me If You Can)
Park Chan-wook - The Handmaiden (Decision to Leave, No Other Choice)
Stanley Kubrick - Barry Lyndon (The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, Eyes Wide Shut)
Martin Scorsese - The Color of Money (The Last Temptation of Christ, Goodfellas, The Departed, The Wolf of Wall Street)
Sidney Lumet - The Group (Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, Network, The Verdict)
Akira Kurosawa - Stray Dog (Rashomon, Seven Samurai, High and Low, Ran)
Ingmar Bergman - Summer Interlude (The Seventh Seal, Persona, Autumn Sonata, Fanny and Alexander)
Robert Altman - California Split (Nashville, 3 Women, The Player, Short Cuts)
