I am saving up to add a second camera body to my bag. Been shooting on the D3200 since 2012 and I love it. It was my fist DSLR and I’ve taken some amazing photos on it. But I also feel the itch for an upgrade. The caveat is that I only have about $500 and it has to fit my existing lenses.
I do a lot of night time photography: light painting, astrophotography, etc. I’m also saving up for a Move Shoot Move tracker to replace my current ones. I shoot day time as well on hikes and stuff but majority is at night. I’ve heard the 5600 is excellent in low light. But the 7000 is good for birds (I do like to take pics of bald eagles and the birds in my backyard).
I’d love to go mirrorless but that’s out of budget since I’d have to get at least one lens with the camera body.
