O1 Omni Printer Update: Good News, and an Apology
Hey creators,
Since the xTool O1 Omni Printer first appeared in our community back in January, we've been right there with you — excited, hopeful, and yes, a little restless too in past few months. Waiting isn't easy, and we get that. As a community built on creating together and dreaming together, we believe honest communication is the best way to honor that anticipation. Today, we want to share an update on the Omni Printer — not a dry status report, but a heartfelt conversation between friends.
Omni, just like its name, is meant to do more. We’re not just building another uv printer. We’re building a new kind of creative tool — one that brings together more possibilities, more complete workflows, more applications, and a smoother experience in real use.
To get there, we’ve spent more time refining and validating several key areas:
1. 🔍Build Industry-Leading Precision Alignment
We’re developing a first-of-its-kind alignment solution designed to go beyond traditional camera-based positioning. This technology is also expected to unlock a new experience for rotary accessories, making alignment on curved objects more precise and reliable.
This has been one of the most technically demanding parts of the project. To reach the level of precision and user experience we want to deliver, we’ve spent significant time testing, calibrating, and optimizing the system.
2. 🎨Unlock More Ink Possibilities with a Dual-Head System
The Omni Printer uses a dual-head system, which gives it the potential to support richer ink options and more printing possibilities. But with that comes more validation around ink compatibility, aging, and long-term stability.
Our goal is not just to add more functions on paper. We want to deliver a product that feels complete, stable, and easy to use in real workflows — with smoother switching between functions and less maintenance pressure for users.
3. ⚡Create a Smoother Workflow with xTool Laser Machines
If you’re already part of the xTool family, we don’t want the Omni Printer to feel like just another device. We want it to become a meaningful part of your existing creative setup.
We’re developing workflows that connect O1 with xTool laser machines, helping users move more smoothly between printing, engraving, and cutting.
This is not just about compatibility on a spec sheet. We are validating the software experience, workflow steps, and real machine-to-machine performance to make sure the process feels practical and reliable.
At this stage, we have already completed compatibility work with P3. We are also gradually testing compatibility with P2/P2S, M Series, S Series, and the F Series, and we’ll continue sharing progress with the community.
4. 🛠️Build a Richer, More Reliable Accessory Ecosystem
Accessories are an important part of the O1 Omni Printer experience. They help expand what you can create while making the overall workflow smoother and more flexible.
In recent testing, we found areas that still needed improvement, such as jitter in the rotary accessory and the roll laminator’s compatibility with different film tensions. These details may seem small, but in real projects, they can affect the whole experience. That’s why we’re adding more optimization and testing before launch.
🌟 Good News, and an Apology
The good news is that the main testing and validation for the O1 Omni Printer are now very close to real mass-production status. While this has taken longer than we first expected, this is not an open-ended delay. We are now in the final stage of optimization before launch.
Our current plan is to launch in July–August, and we’re doing everything we can to make July happen. The O1 Omni Printer will launch on the xTool official website, and we’ll begin shipping soon after launch.
This is slightly later than the Q2 timeline we previously shared, and we’re truly sorry for that. We know some of you have been planning around O1, and we understand how frustrating it can be to wait longer than expected.
But we don’t want to compromise the final experience just to hit a date. When you receive your O1 Omni Printer, we want it to feel complete, stable, and truly ready to support your creative work or small business.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll continue sharing Beta testing progress, real print samples, feature updates, and weekly Q&A posts, so you can keep seeing real progress along the way.
Thank you for your patience, your feedback, and your trust. It means a lot to us, and we’ll keep doing our best to be worthy of it.
