LMB Enterprise-D modification with proper position and strobe lights
I finally got the Enterprise D model, and I couldn't be happier on how it turned out. I looked at the Light My Bricks instruction manual before I purchased the kit, and saw that I could modify it the way I wanted. I purchased some trans-clear tile, round 1 x 1 caps for the extra lights I wanted to install. I ended up having to drill out the centers of three of them to cover the "strobe" lights and have enough clearance for the lights to fit under the caps.
The "strobes" are the Astro Light Regular Gun Effect, cool white, 30cm. The red and green position lights are the Astro Light Micro 30cm. I had to delete two of the upper saucer lights to have enough power brick slots.
I really wanted proper position and strobe lights! I love how it turned out. For some reason the strobes don't all come on at the same time, but having all three offset actually looks pretty good too. Just wanted to share if anyone else was looking to see if this was possible.
