Yes I'm tourist coming to Maribor no I'm not looking for recommendations (except maybe wine)

Hi all my partner and I are coming to Maribor for 10 days in June. We are a 40+ couple from North Australia.

Why am I coming... Because I'm basic and I always wanted to see the oldest wine vine in the world. Turned out a couple of friends of mine decided to get married in Germany and I figured it was the perfect time to knock it off my bucket list.

Then I heard there was this lent festival on the time we would be there

Don't worry I'm not looking for recommendations or accommodation. I'll be in Maribor June 25/26 till July 7 approximately depending on trains to from Frankfurt.

I am an old school couchsurfing host in fact the wedding I am going to is a backpacker I hosted back at my house in Darwin Australia in 2010. I left the site when Airbnb started charging but hosted over 200 people at my place.

Believe it or not I only ever hosted one Slovenian family I am still hoping to meet up with whilst in the country.

I am looking for anyone who might be interested in hanging out and showing anything local.

We are keen backcountry hikers although I'm not bringing any gear so day hikes only. Are you going... Can we come? I will chip in for fuel and other costs.

We love wine! My BIL is actually an award winning winemaker in McLaren valley South Australia (near Barossa) ok maybe I am taking some recommendations got a local favourite winery let me know. I want to take some great Slovenian wine home for my cellar

We love live music.

We love food. I'll be honest not sure what good Slovenian food is yet we don't have much of that in North Australia.

We are both big gamers including tabletop. Invite me to your game night.

I am a terrible planner and this whole Trump war has me on edge my flights still might be cancelled. So I will likely plan everything last minute and that makes me free for if anyone will let us tag along on their normal lives.

I will happily offer the same if you ever want to come to Darwin Australia.

DM me and I will share socials or comment here whatever works for you.

Unfortunately I can only speak English... And even worse Australian English.
