Presence sensor advice
I currently have an automation to enable the airco in my bedroom when temps rise above 20 degrees since I’m quite a hot sleeper. I have the following conditions set up:
- the bedroom window and door need to be closed
- I need to be home
The latter one seems to not function properly and can’t seem to fix it, from what I’ve read I’m not the only one where this is janky. Since I’m not at home all nights off the week and my room can get hot at times since it sits in the sun most of the day I kinda rely on an automation like this to keep it cool when I’m there but save energy when I’m not. For this reason I’ve started looking into presence sensors, currently I’m considering the Aqara FP300 (don’t like that you need a hub for all functionality), the meros ms605 and the Lafaer lwr01.
It’s especially important that it keeps sensing I’m in the room while sleeping. And I’ve read some mixed experiences but no one really talked about it sensing sleeping people.
What are your experiences with these sensors?
