I got 9.5 k rank last year and chose to go ecse (cat 1) i have my neighbour getting 8.7k rank and choosing cse core for cat 2 now im feeling confused whether i did a wrong decision(which i knew i did)by going for ecse or should i have gone to cse specialisation paying extra one lakh?do any of you have ideas on ecse placements?do recuiters show preference to cse students over other branches even if students from other branches excel in skills??
