Cassis, raspberry, chocolate, & a touch of spice on the nose. Blackberry, dark chocolate, touch of oak on the palate. Youthful, but very enjoyable

Lemon & lime rind on the nose with honey. Palate is green apple, citrus rind & slight petroleum. Solid base offering. Excited to get into the higher level bottling

First time having this wine. Had a small taste & decided it needed a decant to open up a wee-bit. After about 45 minutes it seems to have sprung to life. Oak & tobacco on the nose with a hint of licorice & dried raspberry & a touch of plum. Really an enjoyable nose. The first sip leaves thick legs on the glass & brings me notes of dark cherry, dried cherry, oak barrel spice, a touch of good dark chocolate. Really nice & dry. Well structured & not cloying. Each sip invites you to another with a great lasting finish. Tannins aren’t too heavy, but theres still some fight in them. I’m sure this could age for quite a bit more. I haven’t had a lot of South American wines, but tonight i find myself with a blend of syrah, cab, malbec, & petit verdot. Even after 18 years there is still fruit on the nose followed by oak & baking vanilla. On the palate there is still jammy blackberry, plum flesh, touch of vanilla, & oak. Time has mellowed the tannins & I find this to be quite enjoyable

Not very experienced in French Chardonnay, but i’m giving this bottle a go tonight. Green Apple, lemon rind, touch of melon, & almost rain on a stone on the nose. Green apple skin on the palate with a touch of lemon, grassiness, maybe slightly nutty, & the most subtle hint of smoke on the far back end that finishes quite well. Coats the mouth well & is very enjoyable. Glad this bottle held up & I am looking forward to trying more white Burgundy. Hope everyone has a good weekend coming up. Subtle dark cherry & sunshine on soil on the nose, violet petals with blueberry skins. Touch of blueberry/plum skin on the palate without being cloying, graphite which is a nice touch, tannins aren’t heavy or rough by any means. My first introduction to Northern Rhone & I am excited to continue learning about this region. Any recommendations on what to drink next from N.R.?

With the help of my cat i managed to decant this 22’ right bank blend of 85% merlot & 15% cab franc for 1.5 hours. Black fruit & a touch of cigar box, & super subtle baking spice on the nose. Black currant, blueberry skins, tastefully dry, moderately heavy tannin that grips the tongue well. A wine that one can enjoy drinking for a few hours as it opens up. Just a really nice value bottle for mid 20’s USD. Gives you a good sneak peek into the potential of Saint Emilion. I’d like to try the Grand cru Figeac one day. What is everyone se drinking? First time trying a wine of this style. From what I understand this is pinot noir, or known as Spatburgunder in Germany & they are pressed without skin contact leading this to be a white wine. Very refreshing bright nose that i am having a hard time pinning down, but the palate has very light red fruits, a bready almost sourdough or brett-like kind of funk which I enjoy & a clean minerality that almost reminded me of a chablis on the finish. Nice medium bodied semi dry white wine that i really enjoy. Here’s to trying new wines. What is everyone else drinking?

2022 vintage.

First white Burgundy. Nose is light citrus, apple, shortbread, rain on a stone.

Palate is apple skin, touch of lemon, more mineral. Nice slick elegant body.

Finish is a citrus semi-sweet linger.

Really an enjoyable wine to me & i’m looking forward to learning more about the region & style

Straw / olive oil colored. Apple, lemon rind on the nose with a bit of oak. Bright & not overly sharp & acidic. Apples, pear, touch of lemon & buttery. Semi dry & cheese like cream on the finish. I like this quite a bit for a chardonnay. Funky & fun

Great wine. Great price… in my opinion. Nose is candied cherry & strawberry with a touch of soil. Leathery red fruit on the palate with no overly harsh tannins & 6.5/10 acidity. I think its a really well balanced wine where none of its qualities take away from the others. This one gets a thumbs up. What are you all drinking?

61% syrah, 17% Grenache, 14% petite syrah, 8% mourvedre.

Nose: thick Syrupy blueberry/blackberry with a bit of alcohol & tobacco.

Palate: taste runs impressively the same with blueberry skins & blackberry.

Finish: bold, dry, & a long duration. I really enjoy it.

Overall i’m impressed & surprised it has held up this long. This is the oldest wine i personally have tasted. Hope you’re all enjoying your night & have a great weekend. What are you drinking?
