Line and curve segment labels

Line and curve segment labels

Is there a way to rotate the text of a line label while its leadered? Sometimes when I leader the label it will cross over boundary lines, or other lines I dont want it to, and I'll have to explode them or make plaineultileaders with the text instead to make the text rotate. I tried looking in the label style editor, and can't see an obvious way to rotate the text. Pictures below demonstrate what im wanting to do the yellow text ia the desired way for the label to sit, and the blue text is how the label normally works. I've got something set up for parcel labels, so I can rotate them independently using user defined properties, so if therea a way to do something similar here using those that would also work.

Stitching plat PDFS back together

Hey all, im currently working at a engineering/land surveying firm, and part of my responsibility is to help do coutbouse research for some of our other offices. Whenever we have to pull a plat from the courthouse we have to scan it in sections on a smaller flatbed scanner (typically i got for thr A3 size since it helps get the most overlap at 600 DPI). Does anyone know about a work flow, or process i can do to try to stich the pieces of the plat back together so it sits as one sheet? Im currently looking into QGIS as I cna export the PDFs from the scanner as TIFF files. I tried Hugin, but it being a panorama editor caused a weird lens distortion effect when I tried it (it may just be a lack of knowledge/skill on my end). Any help i could get to make these back to a single sheet would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
