For those who weaned off medicine

I recently weaned off labetalol again. First try was good for 5 days. Bp was fine but experienced tachycardia so started medicine again and this time weaned it slower

I am 5 days without medicine. All seems good till now. Just wondering what is blood pressure supposed to be like? I get 100’s/70’s mostly but sometimes also get like 110’s/low 80’s

Is that fine?

And at the doctors office the day we were supposed to stop the medicine my bp was 133/88 and they rechecked again it came to 122/82 (doctor said hospitals tend to do that)

Anyone weaning labetalol and experiencing tachycardia?

My doctor stopped by labetalol and 5 days later I had severe tachycardia. Then I consulted a cardiologist and he said start it again and we will wean off slowly so 50mg morning and night for 2 weeks and then only 50 mg for 2 weeks. Now today is my first say of 50mg only once a day. My bp is fine 106/83 but my pulse is 105 -__-

Anyone? Similar issue?

Also during my life i usually have had higher pulse readings usually in 100’s and it didnt even bother me but now after preclampsia it bothers me and scares me :/

Weaned off labetalol. Good 4 days but back on it again :(

11 weeks post partum came
Down from 200mg labetalol to 100mg

Then diastolic kept going into 90’s so 12 weeks post partum took 50mg in the morning 50mg evening

14 weeks postpartum stopped altogether (on doctors advice) as bp was staple in 90’s/70’s

Had the best 5 days perfect blood pressure and finally no side effects of labetalol

Then 6th day started experiencing chest heaviness and tachycardia. Panicked. Went to a cardiologist got ecg/echo. All is fine bp was fine too but pulse 140 so cardiologist restarted my labetalol and said 2 weeks to take same dose 50mg morning and 50mg night and then 2 weeks only 50mg once a day and then will try to wean again!

Feeling so disheartened 😪 first bp issue now what’s this tachycardia So tired of everything🥀

Please share positive stories. Looking for some positivity

For those who successfully weaned of bp meds after pp preclampsia

I was wondering I am 14 weeks post partum and Finally off meds! All this time I have been really careful with salt in my food and basically avoid eating out. I am craving some Ramen and sushi but scared about sodium intake. Need suggestions!

For the mums who took bp meds for 3 months pp

I turned 12 weeks post partum today. I had post partum preclampsia and started off with 90mg Nifidipine. Then around 6 weeks post partum came down to 200mg labetalol (100 morning 100evening) then finally at almost 11 weeks came down to 100mg. First the doctor did 100mg once a day in the evening but my diastolic kept creeping upto 90’s so she did 50mg morning 50 mg night.

I started this 50mg twice a day 3 days ago. 2 days my levels were 110’s/70’s but today day 3 again it’s 110’s/80’s. I know they say 80’s is fine but it still makes me nervous :(

Anyone who took meds for 3 months is this normal? Will it get better soon. I really just want to be off labetalol and stop having to check my bp every day😔 Please positive stories🙏🏻

How do you guys monitor your bp

11 weeks post partum. If I place a cushion under my arm I am getting a lower readings. If I remove the cushion and put my arms on my knees I’m getting a higher reading :/

Weaning off labetaloll

I am currently 11 weeks postpartum. i suffered from post partum preclampsia 5 days after delivery. i was taking 100mg labetalol in the morning and 100mg in the evening. even though my diastolic numbers were not consistently low my OB has started my weaning process. We stopped the morning 100mg labetalol 6 days ago but every day my readings are 120’s/90‘s

My OB is not concerned and said to continue only taking 1 pill a day the 90’s number gives me anxiety and I don’t really feel good all day. when will this horror end💔 I am tired of just thinking about blood pressure every day since 11 weeks
