Find a job

I recently finished a game development school/program and created two working Unreal Engine projects. I’m still improving them and adding new gameplay systems.

I posted gameplay videos on YouTube, published playable builds on Itch.io, and uploaded source code to GitHub. My focus is Unreal Engine 5, C++, Blueprints, gameplay systems, AI, combat, UI, pickups, and prototyping.

The problem is that almost every job I find is either mid-level or senior. Junior positions are rare, and I honestly haven’t really seen true entry-level positions yet.

Where should someone like me actually look for the first opportunity? Indie teams, Discord, Reddit, freelance, small studios, QA, game jams, or something else?

I’m not looking for art/design roles. I’m mainly looking for Unreal gameplay programming, Blueprint scripting, C++, or technical/gameplay-related work.

Any honest advice would be appreciated.
