My husband’s 4th crochet project 💛🧶

Okay so after making me a handbag, he decided to make me a top next🙂↔️. I chose the colour and he originally started making it as a peplum top and had actually finished almost half of it, but when I tried it on, I personally felt like it had too many ruffles for my style.
I asked him if he could make it a little loose fitted cute top and he actually frogged half the project and remade it😭😭😭.
I loved the stitches on the top portion, so he kept that and redesigned everything below it. I wanted slightly ruffled straps, and this is how it turned out.
This is now the cutest top I own, and my very first handmade top🥹. I honestly feel so lucky 😭😭😭.
There’s something so special about seeing someone put so much time, effort, and care into making something just for you. Seeing him so excited when I was trying it on... He is too precious 💞
This is only his 4th crochet project and he’s only been crocheting for about 1.5 months, and I’m just so so proud of him😭😭😭. He is so consistent, I could never 😭.
I also wanted to add that the last time I posted his work, someone commented that he is probably working in a similar field, which is why he is getting so good at it so fast, which is not true.🫠
He works in IT , and all his life, he has loved games and technological stuff. He has never been into arts or crafts, and it is only after getting married now that both of us, we are trying to find hobbies that we love.
And crochet, I actually wanted to learn crochet, so I ordered all the stuff, but because I lose interest in things so fast, he was like, let's do it together, and so we started together, but then he started getting interested in it, and he just continued. And I am so glad that he did cause he definitely is an artist at heart. 👨🎨
Now I get to see him get excited about yarn and hooks and patterns.. it's so so cute🥺.
PS: The last pic is my husband crocheting with our oldest by his side( he is very clingy😭)
The yarn he used for this project is weight 3 cotton yarn and he used both 4.5 and 5 hooks.
