Do you wear pearl earrings casually or only for certain outfits?
I feel like I'm way overcomplicating this but I need honest answers. Growing up, pearls always felt like something you wore to a wedding, a job interview, or Easter brunch with your mom. You know occasions where you're supposed to look "polished" and not like the goblin you actually are.
But lately I've been seeing people just… throw them on with sweatshirts? Beanies? Leggings and a messy bun? And it actually looks good?? I'm confused. So I grabbed a simple pair from Pearls of Joy nothing fancy, just small studs and I was genuinely surprised. They don't scream "formal" the way I expected. Like they're chill? Wearing them right now with an old flannel and my hair is a disaster and it's… fine? Maybe even cute?
But there's still this little voice in my head going "these are pearls, you should change into something nicer" and it's annoying. So I'm tryna figure out do you guys treat pearl earrings as everyday staples, or do you save them for when you're wearing something more intentional? Like is it just me who has this weird mental block?
Also if you wear yours to the grocery store please say hi so I feel less weird about it.
