Why does pain and/or pressure feel good sometimes
So for context; I have swollen gums that might be early stage gingivitis, I’m not sure. But the top left side of my gums has been feeling uncomfortable. But, I haven’t been able to stop brushing my gums, flossing, applying pressure. For some reason I know that I’m feeling pain but it feels so good. I could also say the same for a tooth that’s growing in, pressure always makes it feel better.
Another example are bug bites. I grew up in Florida and my mom always taught me to mark all my skeeto bites with an X using my nail. The pressure of doing that would feel so good and relieve the itching for a while.
