Trampled By Moose :(

Trampled By Moose :(

Was waiting for some moose to cross a section of shroomies that we we wanted to investigate because we saw this one from light years away but as the bull was meandering along he clipped this monstrosity with his hooves. Would've been our biggest find. Still pretty awesome !

Badwater Basin -282ft

March 2026. Not half as impressive as people who actually know how to photograph amazing things... this is just off my phone unprepared. Couldn't believe I was in the middle of nowhere @ 03:00am and still surrounded by over forty people. For some reason I truly thought I'd be the only soul there just passing through on a whim. Everyone had professional camera setups and laser pointers and star trackers etc. Learned that in this small world, when something is this awe inspiring, you're going to be sharing it with your fellow humans. As much as shared experiences feel more important, it's getting harder and harder to enjoy awe in isolation.

South Dakota. En route to my fishing spot✌🏻😂

Clearly it was from somebody here, and that somebody made my day!

Earth Star vs False Earth Star

An awesome find @ 12,000 ft altitude, in Wyoming. With snow still on the ground and this being soaked and cold and possibly old (just now thawing out from last season preserved by frigid subzero temps)... how do I know if it's true or false? Are there any other identifying marks other than actions such as the petals opening/closing per barometer/humidity fluctuations?
