Tried to make real AirPods out of Fakes

So one day I got this idea to buy a fake pair of AirPods Pros and swap the sub-50 cent drivers with the original ones from real AirPods.

I decided to make a video about it but as a TL;DW, they actually turned out pretty good, not 100% the same sound quality due to the internal Bluetooth chips and audio management circuitry not being as high quality as Apple's but they still sound a lot mre punchier and clearer than the budget earbuds I've used in the past (which are mostly bass-heavy to appear high quality but end up sounding muddy).

The soldering process was not that difficult either, I used the drivers for Pro 3rd gens and their contact pads are a lot more wire-friendly than the ones found in older generations (which were strictly designed to be soldered to a flex cable, not dangling wires).

The drivers I got off AliExpress. Not sure where they source them but according to the reviews from people who bought them for their intended reasons (to be used as replacements in actual real AirPods), they apparently sound the same as originals.

This is a fun little project I decided to do as a hobby and thought I'd share it with you guys as well!
